The UNP are under the delusion the the UNHRC is the second government of Sri Lanka. Th UNHRC has already slapped Sri Lanka with human rights violations to no awhail. Instead it may have catapulted Sri Lanka to sign an alliance with China called the "comprehensive strategic partnership" which now opens the gates to Chinese technology and the support of China in the Security Council.
