Uni-flow in Fort
The Colombo Fort Police traffic unit had initiated a new uni-flow traffic plan in front of the World Trade Centre in Fort yesterday because of road carpeting.
According to the new traffic plan vehicles leaving Fort would have to follow the roads of Olocott Mawatha, Ceramic Junction, Lotus Road and then enter the Galle Road.
These vehicles would not be permitted to enter the Bank of Ceylon Mawatha, the road in front of the World Trade Center when leaving Fort and entering Galle road.
Vehicles that enter Fort via the Galle Road would be permitted to use the Bank of Ceylon Mawatha and to York Street as it was earlier used when entering via Janadhipathi Mawatha.
