Dematagoda Abduction: Suspects identified

The eight suspects in remand custody in connection with the Dematagoda abduction case were identified by five eye witnesses at an identification parade held at Colombo Magistrate Court today.

Following the identification, the suspects were released on Rs. 100,000 sureties each by the Additional Magistrate Mohammed Mihar.    

Meanwhile, State Counsel Janaka Bandara representing the Attorney General’s Department said that the AG had not made any instructions yet on the other suspects in the case.

The case was postponed for January 12. (Shehan Chamika Silva)
