Colombo High Court today issued summons for the second time on former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka to appear in the High Court on September 23 to give evidence for the prosecution in the case where three LTTE cadres are accused of having attempted to kill him.Judge Kumudini Wickramasinghe issued notice after she observed that he was not present in court when the case with regard to the suicide attack on Mr. Fonseka was taken up for hearing.
At the outset State Counsel Tusitha Mudalige said the court’s fiscal had served the summons on the Mr. Fonseka at his office.(TFT)
