Rs. 1.5 M robbed at Unawatuna

Two gunmen had robbed 1.5 million rupees from employees of a hotel in the Unawatuna area this evening, the Police said.

Police spokesman SSP Prishantha Jayakody said that two employees had been travelling on a motor bike with cash to pay employees of a tourist hotel in Unawatuna when two unidentified men had overtaken them and had robbed the cash at gun point, SSP Jayakody said.( Hafeel Farisz)
