Video: Robbery at Wellawatte, Police seek assistance
Police are seeking public assistance to apprehend a suspect wanted for a robbery at a shop in Wellawatte on July 5.They said the suspect had entered the shop after breaking the front glass door and robbed Rs. 20,000 cash from the cashier and the LED TV which was fixed to a wall.
Police have circulated the CCTV video footage to the media for seeking public assistance, and had given two emergency numbers - Police OIC Wellawatta 0112587470, Police Station Wellawatta 011-2588212, 01122364860.
