Resign, says ‘Sihala Ravaya’ to PM

Some members of the ‘Sihala Ravaya’ organisation are currently engaged in a sit-down protest opposite the Prime Minister’s office demanding that he resigns.The protesters marched from Viharamahadevi Park, to the Prime Minister’s office and sought a meeting with the Prime Minister.
His office staff informed the protesters who included Buddhist monks that the Prime Minister was not present.
They then sat down on the road causing severe traffic congestion and vowed to continue their protest until the Prime Minister arrived at his office and gave them a hearing. (Darshana Sanjeewa)
