Ranil and Dayasiri in special pow wow

UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe and dissident UNP MP Dayasiri Jayasekara held a special meeting today to iron out differencesbetween the two individuals.

Informed sources said, the meeting which lasted for over an hour and included UNP General Secretary Tissa Atthanakayake were successful.

A number of issues were discussed, including Jayasekara’s frustration with the party leadership.

The duo also reportedly discussed the party’s future.

During the meeting, the upcoming Wayamaba Provincial Council elections and the UNP’s mechanism to secure the council also came up for discussion.

However, it is unclear whether Jayasekara was offered the Chief Ministerial post of the UNP (.By Hafeel Farisz)

We hope a positive approach from RW and hope mr dasiri's service to the party willl help to win WAYMBA. Mr Dayasiri and others should give their due places in the UNP. He should be the Kurunagala Leader better come as the UNP leader of the Provincial council; (CM)
