Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne, who is undergoing treatment in a medical institution in the United States, is expected to return to the country within the next two weeks.

“He is recovering and will be here most probably before next month,” Prime Minister’s Media Secretary Sisira Wijesinghe told Daily Mirror.

On instructions from President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the Premier was flown to US in September for treatment.

Overseas treatment only for the politicians ?. For ordinary citizens these previlages are not available, but their tax money being spent on corrupt politicians. Some people died while they were awaiting for cardiac sugeries for years.Life saving surgeries being cancelled for months due to lack of drugs and equipment in government hospitals. This is crazy !!
