Power cuts will continue until further notice as there are some more technical issues that have to be resolved in Norochcholai Coal Power Plant, Ceylon Electricity Board Chairman Professor Wimaladharama Abeywickrama told Daily Mirror online a short while ago. (YP)

for those who say, "But no power cuts for Colombo City ? ", what i can say is because of you all outstation people. we people in Colombo facing difficulty like "no parking, One Way Roads, even more heavy traffic in colombo roads" , since we are suffering like this, at least we should not get power cuts. everyone has to win and lose something right ?

Everything is a mess. Power, Education, Health, Sports, Rule of law, Finance, Water, Cost of living, Business etc. Cannot find what is left other than the roads.

No releif for the people. Awaiting the Miracle to take place.

What are they talking about? One news item says Karachchalei is now repaired, while another say power cuts will continue. Disgusting state of affairs. The usually very verbose minister is deafningly silent and the vice chairman of the CEB is now the mouth peice.

So even the rains in catchment areas and repair of Norochcholai have not helped to stop the power cuts. Obviously, there are other reasons than these for the Ministry to impose power cuts and it is high time they come clean and tell the truth to the consumers who continue to pay hefty bills.

But no power cuts for Colombo City ? and is Norocolai on bars taking full load and if not what is wrong with the plant, is not the 1390 Mw of thermal without Norocholai available to CEB give 33 milion units per day for 1290x1000x24=33 million cannot give 32 million units per day which is our daily unit requirements
