Stay order on full-face helmet ban extended

The interim order issued staying the operation of the police circular banning the use of full-face helmets, was extended till October 13 by the Court of Appeal today.

The ruling was given by Judge Vijith K. Malalgoda sequent to two writ petitions filed by a Chartered Accountant and a Retired Army Major seeking an order prohibiting the authorities from taking action on banning the use of face-covered helmets. (LS)
