St.Peter's win Big match
St. Peters College Colombo beat their traditional rivals St. Josephs College Colombo by six wickets a short while ago in the annual Battle of the Saints encounter played at the P.Sara stadium. Janith Liyanage scored an unbeaten 68 during the Peterite chase. St.Peters College were set a target of 113 runs after the Josephians were bundled out in their second essay for 164 runs.
The head coach of St.Josephs College together with the entire cricket advisory committee resigned hours before the big match due to a dispute with the Rector over a selection of a player, who was not in the original team for the annual encounter.
