Pakistan HC attack suspects indicted
Three men were indicted before the Colombo High Court for attempting on the life of Pakistan High Commissioner and committing the death of seven others at Colpetty on 2006.Senior State Counsel Riaz Bary appearing for the Attorney General served the indictments on the accused Yogarajah Nirodhan alias Star, Subramanium Subendraraja alias Karan and Kanagaratnam Aditian alias Giri alias Ranjan on 25 counts.
The accused were committed for conspiring, aiding and abetting with each other alone with the attacker Anton to kill the Pakistan High Commissioner Basheer Ali Mohamed and for killing Lance Corporal Aruna Chinthaka, Corporal Samantha Kumara, Lance Corporal S. Prema Jayantha, Corporal Sisira Jayanandana and civilians Samarasinghe Mavatta Indika Jayakody, Ranjanie Hewamanna and Pathman Maga Abeydheera on August 14, 2006 at Colpetty Colombo. (T.
