Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has postponed his official visit to Sri Lanka, Geo News reported Tuesday.
 
Inter Services Public Relation (ISPR) said that the Army Chief visit to Sri Lanka has been deferred in view of the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb against the terrorists in North Waziristan Agency (NWA).
 
ISPR said that the COAS was scheduled to leave for Sri Lanka on four-day official tour today, the Pakistan based news agency stated.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Army also confirmed today that the visit of General Sharif and his delegation, scheduled on June 19, has been postponed due to unavoidable commitments in Pakistan.
