One killed, 19 injured in bus mishap

At least one person was killed and 19 injured when a bus carrying group of people from Eheliyagoda on a trip to Jaffna, skidded and went off the road in Puliyankulam, a short while ago.

Police said 34 people had travelled in the bus and the victim was identified as 32-year-old K. K. Ajantha of Eheliyagoda.

The injured were admitted to the Vavuniya hospital. (Romesh Madushanka)
