‘Kama- Colombo’ assault case– businessman granted bail

Ali Asger Shabeer Gulamhussein,the first suspect in the ‘Kama Colombo’ nightclub assault case, was granted bail while the two ‘bouncers’ were further remanded till July 18 by the Fort Magistrate’s Court a short while ago.

The Kollupitiya Police -Officer-in-Charge today revealed in court today that the Police had received reports of several other instances where assaults of a similar nature had been carried out by the night club’s security guards on the clubs patrons.

The two ‘bouncers’ are to be produced before an identification parade.

Mr. Gulamhussein was also prohibited from entering the nightclub in which the incident was alleged to have taken place.

Magistrate Thilina Gamage warned Mr. Gulamhusseinto desist from influencing any of the witnesses in the case and told him that his bail would be cancelled if there were any reports of his having done so. ( LS)

Do you all still think that this 21 year old clubbing in the mid night is an innocent and they have beaten him without a reason? (I'm not justifying the act but trying to understand the real picture) there can be two sides of the story.
