The AIADMK's poll manifesto released by its general secretary and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in Chennai on Tuesday has proposed to hold ‘a referendum amongst Tamils in Sri Lanka and displaced Sri Lankan Tamils across the world for formation of a separate Eelam,’ the Zee News agency reported.’
"The AIADMK is determined to move the UN to take action and render justice to the Tamils in Sri Lanka and for holding a referendum amongst Tamils in Sri Lanka and displaced Sri Lankan Tamils across the world for formation of a separate Eelam," the manifesto said.
The party said it is determined to ensure that punishment is given through the International Court of Justice to all those who committed war crimes against the Tamil minorities during the internal strife in Sri Lanka, which was against international regulations.
The manifesto has a mix of welfare and hard economic measures underscoring Jayalalithaa’s national ambitions.
The party also promised implementing some of the welfare measures of the state at the national level among the others. The 45-page manifesto booklet has two types of poll promises - one for the nation and the other for Tamil Nadu - though there are overlaps.

How dare you say that? Sri Lanka is one undivided sovereign country. If you are unhappy living in Sri Lanka you may go back to your Peelam Nadu and allow other Tamils to live peacefully with the rest of the community.

Miss JoyLalith,
That's a good idea, also have a referendum among your supporters who demand toilets 'cos at present they use the railway tracks in TN to dispose of their night soil.

We most welcome this move by the tiger mistress. What more better place than pee-nadu for that ilusive eelam her pet cubs failed to achive miserably after being routed with their head murderer in a canal in SL. They already act as if they have won an eelam under indian model of federalism that will never be the answer for a small island nation like ours

I am ok with an independent Eelam (combined North & East ) on the condition that all Tamil speaking Sri Lankans (Tamils & Moors) would renounce their citizenship and migrate the Republic of Eelam. The rest of the provinces must be a Sinhala only state (barring a few exceptions). Sinhalese need a separate exclusive state more than any others. So if native Tamil speakers are ok with that, I as a Sinhalese will agree to your Eelam, but all native Tamil speakers MUST LEAVE THE SOUTH.

All these years only Sri Lankan politicians were provoking the communal hatred here, now the politicians from the other parts of the world want to disturb the communal harmony in Sri Lanka. Why do not their mind their own business and let the peace prevail in Sri Lanka!
