A 37-year-old motorcyclist was killed and at least two three wheelers were badly damaged when a roadside tree fell on them on Baseline road in Borella this evening due to heavy rains, Police said.

They said the motorcyclist, a resident of Kelaniya, died on admission to the Colombo National Hospital.

His wife, who was on the pillion, escaped unhurt. (Chaturanga Pradeep)
