Eknaligoda disappearance: CID quizzes four army personnel

Four army personnel are being questioned by the CID in connection with the disappearance of journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda, police said.

They said two lieutenant colonels, a staff sergeant and a corporal were among them.

Meanwhile, Military Spokesman Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera said the army personnel had been permitted by the Army Headquarters to give a statement to the CID on Mr. Eknaligoda’s disappearance. (Lahiru Pothmulla)

Why should the army give permission to question the suspects? The suspects should be arrested immediately and brought to justice. It is also import to get to the bottom of this sage and find who the handler was.

BBB is right. Rule of law must be applied and all should be equal before the law. As the accused persons are coming from those who are the guardians of law, these inquiries must be swift and must be seen as justice being done.

Sometime back one person was saying Eknaligoda is living abroad and that he had met him. This person too should be questioned whether he actually met him or what is the motive for the fabricated story.
