Police Spokesman SSP I.M Karunaratne said that one of the arrested was an army deserter and the other a supporter of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) who had been in hiding in Warakapola at the time of arrest. (SD)

Deserters aka cowards & once pardoned by the Government, should not be shown any mercy for killing a fragile & innocent 80 year old.
