A 12-year-old child had been run over by a container truck at Koskumbura in Kelaniya last night, the Police said.

The Police said the boy, who was a resident of Kelaniya, has succumbed to his injuries being admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.

The driver of the container has been arrested.
