Arrested for selling T20 ticket for Rs. 14,000

When we we went to pallekale to watch the SLvsWI match Our own Sri lankan Police person came and said " Mallila tickets wadipura thibboth denna... godak kattiya nathuwa inne".... and in colombo they asked the People who had extra tickets to go to the top of the road (near David Peiris Show room, Maligawatte) and sell their extra tickets....

While on my way to grounds, Guys were coming behind offering T20 tickets for various prices around Maligawatta and near Kettarama. That happened until 6.30 p.m. on Sunday.. Police would have arrested over hunderd of people who had sold T20 tickets for higher prices.

this is not this poor boy's criminal. police should arrest the man who is stealing these ticket books. anyone can catch small little boys like this boy. police need to search for Sri Lanka Cricket panel guy who is stealing tons of tickets. these guys are standing in ques hole day and buying only 2 or 3 tickets. then selling it. people who have big posts in sri lanka selling 100s of tickets in black market price. try to catch them. not these poor boys. they can sell it. it's not illegal. those who stealing books of tickets is thieves.catch them plzz.

hehe.. . if you got to the grounds in Maligawatte where they sold tickets, you find ample policemen selling tickets in black almost openly... anyone wants their numbers??

I'm sure this guy didnt force anyone to buy!! This is redeculuos... there are many more to be arrested in this case. The Rs.250/- worth ticket 'D Lower' (one which we bought via Internet) was also sold for Rs.6000/- - Rs.8000/-!! That's like 24 times of the amount!

Will it be illegal to sell , as its upto buyer to decide he is willing to pay that amount. The tickets are not connected with his ID number..Tickets for events are even auctioned in Ebay..
There are many goods sold at hiked prices at shops..
