American jumps off Colombo hotel?

An American believed to have jumped off the 5th floor of a five-star hotel in Colombo died after admission to the Colombo National Hospital last evening, police said.The victim was identified as 46-year-old John Edwin Goldstein Ryan. The Kompanna Veediya Police are conducting further investigations.

I think he was drunk. Americans are known to have suicide thoughts when they are drunk. Better check if he has been drinking possibly the whole day. For this reason many U.S. hotels do not have windows without some sort of drill.

if you are highly depressed (Depression is seldom noticed)
OR
due to prescription drugs, after administering when not properly followed up (which is now growing in the word)
