President Mahinda Rajapaksa left for India on a private tour this afternoon, Presidents’ Media Spokesman Mohan Samaranayake said.
He said the President was scheduled to return tomorrow.
Indian media earlier reported that tight security arrangements have been made in the temple city of Tirupati ahead of the visit of the President.
