Youth hacks two to death in Norochcholai

Colombo, Dec. 4 (Daily Mirror) - Two individuals have been hacked to death by a youth in Norochcholai, police said.

According to police, a man and two women were attacked with a sharp weapon in the Nawakkaduwa area last night (03). All three victims were rushed to the Puttalam Hospital with severe injuries.

The man, aged 38, and one of the women, aged 35, died after being admitted to hospital. Both victims were residents of Nawakkaduwa.

Initial investigations revealed that the attack stemmed from a personal dispute.

The suspect, a 23-year-old resident of the same area, has been arrested and is currently receiving treatment at the Puttalam Hospital under police protection.

The Norochcholai Police are conducting further investigations.
