Young couple found shot dead in house at Nuwara Eliya

The Nuwara Eliya Police have launched investigations after a couple had been shot dead inside their home at Toppas in​​Nuwara Eliya last night.

Police said the deceased man is 28 years old and the woman is 26 years old, a married couple residing in the area.

It was revealed that the husband had shot his wife dead with a locally made firearm due to a family dispute and then the man too had shot and killed himself. 

The firearm was found at the scene and the magisterial inquest regarding the dead bodies is scheduled to be conducted today.(DSB)
