Weligama PS shooting a political killing: Madduma Bandara
Colombo, October 22 (Daily Mirror)- The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) management committee which met today approved a resolution to call for a free and fair investigation into the killing of Weligama Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Lasantha Wickramasekera.
SJB General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara told the Daily Mirror that his party is considering the incident as a political killing and has decided to call for a free and fair probe into it.
"We decided to put off the discussion on a mechanism drawn up to work with United National Party (UNP) for the time being and are focusing on today's killing," he added.
