Weather alert: Showers expected in key provinces after 1 p.m.

Colombo, March 22 (Daily Mirror) - The Meteorology Department has issued the weather forecast for today (22), predicting thundershowers in several areas of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Southern provinces, as well as in Nuwara-Eliya district after 1 p.m.

Mainly dry weather is expected over other parts of the island. Early morning mist may occur in parts of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces, and in the districts of Galle, Matara, Kalutara, and Kurunegala.

The public is advised to take necessary precautions against temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
