Waste oil thrown at Wattala MC Secretary during council meeting

The Wattala Police have begun an investigation after secretary of the Wattala Municipal Council was attacked with waste oil during a meeting today.

It was reported that the monthly meeting of the Wattala MC commenced this morning chaired by the council's Chairman Mark Anthony.

Suddenly, the MC Secretary Geethani D. Lokuwella was thrown waste oil by an individual who entered the MC's meeting hall when a group of the council's opposition members were preparing for a poster campaign against the Secretary.
