Wait for your turn to get second jabs: CMC tells eligible recipients
Regional Epidemiologist of the CMC, Dr. Dinuka Guruge said only 5000 out of the 25,000 SMSs had been sent so far to the eligible recipients who were to get the Pfizer vaccines as their second jabs within the CMC limit and requested people not to come to visit the site to "inspect" and get exposed unnecessarily.
She requested eligible recipients to wait for their turn saying that there were enough vaccines in stock.
Dr. Guruge said Pfizer vaccine will be given as the second dose for Astrazeneca vaccine only for the age group between 55 and 69 years and only on SMS appointments.
