Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebrey said that the situation in Gaza was spiralling out of control following the mass civilian casualties recorded within the past few days.
"Every second we wait to get medical aid in, we lose lives. For four days WHO supplies have been stuck at the border," Tedros said in a statement on his official X account.
"We need immediate access to start delivering life-saving supplies. We need violence on all sides to stop," Tedros added.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, over 3000 people have been killed within the past few days in the Gaza Strip, which is under siege, affecting water supply, food, medicine, and other basic needs of the people.
