Van carrying Italian tourists plunges into precipice in Koslanda
A van carrying a group of Italian tourists met with an accident on the Wellawaya-Koslanda Road this morning, as it veered off the road at Icepeella and plunged into a precipice.
Fortunately, all four Italian tourists and the van's driver emerged unharmed, according to the local Police.
The incident occurred while the tourists were en route to visit the picturesque Diyaluma Falls, one of Sri Lanka's popular tourist attractions.
The tourists' journey to Diyaluma Falls resumed promptly, as they were able to continue their trip using another vehicle, the Police said.
