Two reservoir sluice gates opened

Colombo, Oct. 17 (Daily Mirror) - Two sluice gates each of the Rajanganaya and Angamuwa reservoirs have been opened, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said.

It said this is a precautionary measure due to rising water levels following heavy rainfall in the area.

As such, residents living downstream have been advised to remain alert and take necessary safety precautions as water levels in connected waterways may increase further.
