Two nabbed with over 1kg of heroin in Modara

Two persons including a 24-year-old woman had been arrested by the STF with over 1kg of heroin which has a street value of more than Rs. 10 million.

The STF said a 42-year-old man, a resident of Mattakkuliya was arrested with 1.19kg of heroin during a raid at Modara yesterday. The woman was arrested for trafficking drugs.

Rs. 506,000 in cash was also siezed from the suspect's possession.

THe both suspects were handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) for further investigations.
