Two firearms recovered from Valaichchenai

Colombo, Dec 8 (Daily Mirror) - Two firearms have been seized from a telephone pole near the 20th pillar along the Polonnaruwa–Batticaloa main road in Valaichchenai.

Police said the recovered weapons include a micro pistol with four rounds of ammunition and a foreign-manufactured revolver.

The firearms were recovered during a raid carried out this morning (08) by officers of the Walana Central Anti-Corruption Unit.

Valaichchenai Police have launched further investigations to identify and arrest the suspects linked to the incident.
