Two Thai women have been arrested during a raid at a brothel at De Saram Road in Mount Lavinia.

Police said the brothel had been operating under the guise of a Spa.

The arrested Thai women, aged 35 and 42 to be produced before the Mt. Lavinia Magistrate today.

These foreigners who take on local's jobs must be held accountable! Is that the logic here? The key question is, is the time and tax payers money police spend on these raids worth it? Can they realistically stop or restrict the oldest profession in the world, a profession for which demand will forever remain inelastic!

Can't catch drug lords, gangs leaders, theives or murderers but superb at arresting these poor women. Please leave them alone, it is not like they are harming anyone. The customers come there willingly for that. Might as well arrest the customers then. Where there is a demand there will a supply. Waste of our tax money on these khaki clowns with black hats

Why arrest? pretending as SPA operators, permission granted to run BROTHELS in Sri Lanka legally, that is the true picture! if arrest made on this basis, then all the spa brothel operators should be arrested immediately. Large number of customers seen are non but POLICE OFFICERS.
