Two Indian witnesses to be summoned in Namal’s Krrish deal case



Colombo, June 25 (Daily Mirror) - The Colombo High Court today ordered summons to be issued to two Indian nationals to provide evidence in the controversial Krrish deal case involving Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa.

Colombo High Court Judge Nadee Aparna Suwandurugoda directed that summons be issued to the two witnesses in accordance with the Judicial Service Commission’s circular governing the summoning of foreign witnesses.

The court was informed by the CID that it was facing difficulties in serving summons on the two witnesses.

The Attorney General filed criminal proceedings before the High Court against Namal Rajapaksa over the alleged misappropriation of Rs. 70 million belonging to Krrish Company.
