Train derails at Ohiya, upcountry train services disrupted

A train traveling from Kandy to Badulla at 4:00 a.m. this morning derailed at Ohiya Railway Station.

The Railways Department said that three wheels of the train came off the tracks, causing disruption to train services along the upcountry route. Authorities are investigating the incident and working to restore normal train operations.
