Train delays possible due to derailment between Diyatalawa, Haputale
An express train travelling from Badulla to Colombo Fort derailed between Diyatalawa and Haputale railway stations causing disruptions and delays.
The incident occurred around 12.15 p.m. today (16), according to a senior official from the Railway Department.
As a result of the derailment, there may be disruptions to traffic on the upland road throughout the day, the official warned.
