Tourist child rescued after falling from Little Adam’s Peak

Colombo, January. 10 (Daily Mirror) - A foreign tourist child was rescued today after falling from a steep cliff at Little Adam’s Peak, officials said.

The child is believed to have slipped while trying to take a selfie at the popular viewpoint, falling nearly 100 feet down the slope.

The First Responder Rope Rescue Team from the Flying Ravana Adventure Park was immediately dispatched and carried out an emergency rescue amid difficult terrain.

Rescuers successfully reached the child and brought her to safety.

Witnesses said the child’s mother was visibly shaken during the operation but was relieved after her daughter was safely recovered.

In light of the incident, authorities have urged visitors to exercise caution at high-risk areas of tourist attractions.
