Three-hour power cut during weekend

This power cut has become a joke. Excuses are Norocholai etc. etc. What the heck did you all do for the past decades. Age old Sapugaskanda Refinery any others. Why don't you build or renovate the refineries so that our so called superior engineers can refine and extract necessary Petrol, Diesel, LPG, Jet Fuel etc. plus many more. I am a petroleum engineer worked with some best companies in the industry. Its pathetic and lethargic to know why don't we have any power and energy security plans.

May be this is another gimmick to import bottled water from a foreign country. So minister can get a kick back.

If we rely in the future more on solar, wind and hydro, there will always be periods of power cuts when there is cloud, not enough/too much wind, and periods without rain. Build more reliable power stations, like coal stations, buy lots of coal for months or years and keep it stored when prices go down. Better that way, than be vulnerable to world fuel prices like their seasonal weather.
