COLOMBO (Daily Mirror) - The super luxury cruise ship 'AIDAbella' registered in Italy arrived at the Colombo port this morning, the Sri Lanka Ports Authority said.
They said this cruise ship has the capability of transporting 1,900 tourists and 730 crew members. The ship had left from Khasab port in Oman on November 1.
Aitken Spence Shipping Ltd, a subsidiary of Aitken Spence PLC, is the vessel’s local agent and has made all arrangements to facilitate the vessel’s call.
The vessel consists of 1,025 guest rooms on 12 decks. This luxury liner has 12 bars and clubs, 3 lounges, 8 pools and 7 restaurants to cater to all the passengers’ culinary tastes.

AIDA is a German cruise company. It offers the cheapest cruises. By luxury I mean something other than being crammed onto a ship with 1,900 passengers. Furthermore, the staff is underpaid and exploited. The ship is also not environmentally friendly.

All cruiseships are not environmental friendly. They also are a big nuisance here in European cities like Venice, Ravenna, Genoa. They should ban them as they are a environmental disaster. And also the tourists will take their meals, drinks, accomodation on the ship, because they already paid for it.
