Colombo, Nov. 9 (Daily Mirror) - Sri Lankan professionals are making a notable impact on the regional healthcare industry through their contributions to the Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group’s development centre in Colombo, a collaboration that is now paving the way for deeper investment and partnership opportunities.

During a recent visit, Foreign Affairs, Tourism and Foreign Employment Minister Vijitha Herath met with the top management of the group to discuss expanding cooperation in healthcare and medical tourism.

Minister Herath also toured the group’s state-of-the-art medical facility, which features cutting-edge technology and AI-driven healthcare systems, underscoring the potential for knowledge sharing and innovation between the two countries.

Both sides expressed interest in exploring strategic investments and joint ventures that would strengthen Sri Lanka’s position as a regional hub for healthcare and medical tourism, while further enhancing the role of Sri Lankan professionals in global medical technology development.

There exist various propoganda, assitance schemes etc. in the world that come in various shapes and forms. Forein fundings and sponsorships are one of those that need scrunity of its motives beneath their facial frontage. This hopefully is not one of those where lies hidden agendas behind its surface ! In accommodating such schemes, those resposnible to keep Sri Lanka's social balance unhindered must be mindful about its age old culture and its 2600 year old belief system. That which shaped the destiny of this country and its compassionate people needs to be protected from any unwelcome propoganda thay may lay under the surface !
