Southern Province Grade 9 Civic Education exam postponed over question paper delay

Colombo, July 22 (Daily Mirror) - The Grade 9 Civic Education examination paper scheduled to be held today has been postponed in the Southern Province due to the failure to receive the printed question papers at zonal education offices.

A senior official of the Southern Province Zonal Education told the Daily Mirror that the printing of the question papers had been assigned to a printing company in Kurunegala, but the question paper bundles had not reached examination centres even by yesterday.

As a result, the Southern Province Zonal Education decided not to conduct the examination today and rescheduled it for Friday (July 24).

The official said no incident involving sabotage or leakage of the question paper had been reported.

The Southern Province Zonal Education is expected to conduct an inquiry into the delay in delivering the question papers.
