Shoe garland hung on MP Archuna’s portrait in Jaffna

Jaffna, June 19 (Daily Mirror) - A shoe garland has been placed on a portrait of Member of Parliament Archuna Ramanathan in Jaffna.

A banner featuring MP Archuna Ramanathan was displayed on the main road in Jaffna, and a garland made of shoes was hung around his image.

The incident comes a day after a heated verbal exchange that took place between MPs Ramanathan Archuna and Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam during a meeting of the Valikamam North Regional Development Committee regarding the decision to bring the Tellippalai Hospital under the control of the Central Government.
