Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council's former UNP member Hasitha Muhandiram alias Sarpaya, who was sentenced to death, was released by the Court of Appeal today.

The ruling was read out by the Court of Appeal Judge Kumuduni Wickramasingha.

Muhandiram was released from the death sentence following his appeal.

He was sentenced to death by Ratnapura High Court on December 11, 2014, for running over two victims in his car. (Thilini De Silva and Ranjan Katugampala)

Typical UNP filled with murderers, thieves and criminals. White Van era started with them with bodies burning the streets back in the ate 80s, least we forgot.
