Sanjeewa Dharmaratne appointed Acting IGP

Colombo, March 25 (Daily Mirror) - Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Sanjeewa Dharmaratne has been appointed as the Acting Inspector General of Police.

The appointment comes as Inspector General of Police, Attorney-at-Law Priyantha Weerasooriya, is currently on an overseas visit.

During this period, Senior DIG Dharmaratne will carry out the duties and responsibilities of the IGP.
