Colombo, March 4 (Daily Mirror) - The Attorney General today informed the Court of Appeal that the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) has taken a policy decision not to promote or develop LGBTIQ tourism in Sri Lanka.
The Attorney General made this disclosure when a writ petition challenging the legality of the alleged endorsement was taken up before the Court of Appeal.
Meanwhile, the court was informed that a letter issued by the Chairman of the SLTDA, endorsing projects aimed at promoting and developing LGBTIQ tourism in Sri Lanka, has been withdrawn. Taking into consideration the facts, the petitioner decided to withdraw the application.
