SLC to meet Dinesh Chandimal

The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has reportedly informed cricketer Dinesh Chandimal that he will be given an opportunity to meet SLC officials in due course.

A few days ago, Chandimal had written to Chairman of the Sri Lanka Cricket Committee Aravinda De Silva requesting a meeting to discuss his future with Sri Lanka cricket.

Meanwhile, SLC Secretary Mohan de Silva told Daily Mirror that the SLC is discussing Chandimal’s request and will inform him of a date to discuss the issue with the officials.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)

Yes, if you have reasons, please tell him straight. It is only fair for Chandimal to know his fate. But remember to introduce pay for performance. Do not leave any room for the cricketers to dictate terms. If they perform well compensate them well. Otherwise, there should not be any room for them in the team.

Chandimal is a quality test player. But, couldn't avoid the barrage of bouncers of WI and threw away the wicket by hooking when the trap had been set. It's the cause. Must be patient to get back to the test side. Good Luck!

Chandimal's fate is in his own hands. Perform to save your day Chandimal. You have failed repeatedly. Do not sit on past laurels to collect $60k annually for failing. Remember, your letter goes to a TOP performers Committee comprising players of yester year.
