Rs 26.2 million spent for Rohana Wijeweera’s family

Colombo, July 21 (Daily Mirror) - Public funds of Rs. 26,278,052 has been spent for the late founder of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) Rohana Wijeweera's family since his demise, it has been revealed. 

The answer given by the government to a question raised by Opposition MP Ajith P. Perera has revealed that the Sri Lankan government has originally spent the said amount to support Chithrangani Wijeweera and six children. 

However the government currently supports Ms. Wijeweera and her eldest daughter with special needs.
